SCARE ASSOCIATION SHARES THEIR HOPE....WILL YOU?

Relay for Life is the signature event of the American Cancer Society and Franklin County's leg of the 24-hour walk for a cure will take place June 26 and 27 from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. at Frankfort Community Park in West Frankfort.

Like most other community events, SCARE Association will be there in both professional and personal capacity. Many committee members of SCARE Association are also on the planning committee for the Relay for Life of Franklin County.

President Tara Fasol is a Vice-Chair of the event, Vice-President/Director of Theatrics Brandyn McGhee is the Entertainment Chairperson, Volunteer Supervisor Anne Bozarth is Chairperson for Kid's Activities and committee members Bruce Fasol, Dave Chambers, and Stephanie Perry are long-time volunteers.

The group also does a team each year, going under the name "Boo Crew" for 2009. This team includes committee members, family, and friends.

Among the many Relay for Life fundraiser's put on by SCARE Association each year include a Trivia Night, which banked about $700 in 2009, Moons and Stars Campaign, Music Night, and a gracious donation from the City of West Frankfort. All proceeds from any Relay for Life Fundraiser go towards the team's overall goal and are allocated 100 percent to the American Cancer Society.
