SI PI is the Southern Illinois Paranormal Investigators, started in 2008 to promote the unexplainable in Southern Illinois and across the United States. SCARE Association is a promoter of the paranormal investigations unit as the work done by SI PI is at no cost to those experiencing paranormal activity and investigations promote the charity, community service and volunteerism illustrated by SCARE Association.

 

 

 

Yes, SI PI supports the idea that it is possible for those who have passed on, or not quite fully passed on, to communicate with the living through all five senses. SI PI aims to communicate with the entities in a constructive way with the effort to help the unsettled find peace and move on.

 

Entities sometimes talk to the living without saying anything at all. It is believed by some experts in the field of paranormal investigations that ghosts or unsettled souls draw energy from people, equipment, or electronic items in an effort to manifest and speak.

When a ghost has manifested fully into a visible form it is called a full-body appartition. This is rare but considered a jewel of ghost hunting. EVP's or Electronic Voice Phenomenon is the act of recording a voice, on a voice recording device, which could not be heard by the naked human ear.

 

SI PI is reluctant to throw out the term, "haunted" unless adequate and obvious evidence suggests that no outside factors contributed to any unexplainable occurrences which take place on investigations. We are open to the idea that there entities beyond that of life but we understand and aim to educate others that the word paranormal is derived from two very simple words, para, meaning not and normal. It doesn't necessarily mean haunted. We strive to find what human and earthly factors attribute to occurrences which might lead to a person's belief that a location is haunted and we aim to disprove those beliefs. When we are not able to find a good solution, we couple that with evidence and a panel of investigators discuss the possibility of a location playing host to an unsettled soul.

 

SI PI is comprised of a board of investigators but is always looking for interns to join us on a volunteer basis. We want to share our passion for the paranormal and invite anyone interested and serious about the study of paranormal occurrences to forward us some information for consideration. Remember, the SI PI group is all for charity and does not pay any member. We do accept donations but not in exchange for any services not already rendered by the group. ALL MONEY GOES TO CHARITY.
